Creative Director.
I’m a Creative Director who came up through the copywriting track and developed some directing chops along the way. I’ve worked on campaigns for some of the biggest entertainment brands in the world including Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Company, Wicked, Les Miserables, Jersey Boys, Muse, Josh Groban, and Bruno Mars. And I’ve had the opportunity to direct some of the best talent in show business including Jason Derulo, Harry Connick, Jr., and Stanley Tucci.
And at one point I was even mocked by the late great Mike Nichols when he thought I was staring at him—when I was actually trying to get the bartender’s attention. It’s not all glamorous.

Beanie Feldstein in Funny Girl
Golden Globe nominee Beanie Feldstein is coming to Broadway in the first ever revival of Funny Girl. We wanted to launch a campaign that felt contemporary while embracing the iconography of classic Broadway musicals. We gathered the talent and crew and created a full blown campaign in just one day—proving once again that advertisers are indeed people who need people.

Girl From the North Country
Bob Dylan’s beautiful lyricsim comes to life in the new musical from legendary Irish playwright Conor McPherson. This story of finding shelter from the storm during the height of the great depression needed a campaign that invited people in while still being authentic to the show. Over one day in a studio in Brooklyn, we were taken to a guest house in Duluth, Minnesota where music filled the air and lifted our spirits.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Broadway Musical
The beloved Roald Dahl story Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was coming to delight Broadway. So we thought: What would Wonka do? To put it sweet and simple: he’d Wonka-fy New York. From coming up with the initial concept, selling the idea in, collaborating with the directors, writing the script, and launching a campaign that resulted in the biggest advance for any new musical of the Broadway season—this treat was deliciously satisfying to creative direct.

Plaza Suite starring Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker
In 2001, I read Neil Simon’s memoir Rewrites—and knew I had to move to New York and pursue a life in the theatre. Flash forward eighteen years and I’m in the Plaza Hotel shooting the campaign for a revival of the Neil Simon classic Plaza Suite starring Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker. And it’s all being shot by legendary photographer Norman Jean Roy. Sometimes a life in the theatre means a night at The Plaza.

Green Day: Uno, Dos, Tres
When Green Day released three albums at once, they wanted to make sure they found their way into every Christmas stocking in America—so I wrote and creative directed a spot pitching them as the new holy trinity. As an added bonus, I got to do the actual voiceover for this. I know. Radical.

The Color Purple: The Musical
While living in London, I had the opportunity to assistant direct a shoot for the musical The Color Purple—which included personally interviewing the astonishing Cynthia Enrivo years before she was thrilling audiences with her portrail of Harriet Tubman. The day was full of excitement. The shoot was full of joy. And when Cynthia began discussing her character Celie, the room was full of tears.

Spamalot starring John O’Hurley
I know, I know. Radio’s dead. Until it’s not. But either way, when you get the chance to work with the brilliant John O’Hurley (Seinfeld’s J. Peterman) you keep it in the mix.

One Man, Two Guvnors
The West End play One Man, Two Guvnors was a smash hit. And it was time to let all of the UK know about it. With a mix of both footage and motion graphics, we captured the show’s unique brand of humor—even got a math joke in there.

Legally Blonde:
The Broadway Musical
Legally Blonde was a hilarious musical that somehow made lawyering fun. So our outdoor campaign had to capture that same spirit—causing consumers to bend and snap to attention.
